Well I can't believe I haven't been on here since November 2007.  Thanks Noelene for wanting to know the link now I will try and get this page/site back up and running and let you know how things are going in frigid Alberta Canda.   So more later .... I promise ...........

Just a quick note - just added some photos from our trip to Kauai.  They are not edited so don't be shocked by some ugly ones of me!!  (ha ha).

First snow fall while we were away - what a wonderful thing to come back to.

 

Work - well its a job and what we have to do to make a living, hopefully my "living" is going to become a whole lot easier in the not too distant future!!!  I will let you know............

Haven't written here for a long time - kind of indicative of how you get so caught and don't keep things up!!!  Not too much has happened in Canada.  Weatherwise we had a few hot weeks in July and the rest of the time the weather has been really crap!!  It rained and hailed this morning and its overcast right now. 

 

Mone has managed to play quite a lot of golf and has just returned from his annual trip to Fort St. John.  He played well the first day but didn't fare too well on the second.  He finished in the top 10 and brought home a little money.  Him and Ryan (another golfer - young one - who was with us in Maui) drove down together - they took the Mercedes.  I tell you Mone said he bought the car for me but its really for him (men!!). 

 

My mom arrived home safely from South Africa and as always had a good time over there.  I think she enjoys going as she at least does more over there than here.  The only thing is Its a really long flight for her and it took her a few days to get over the jet lag.

 

My hairdresser has gone over to Greece for a holiday (to visit my previous hairdresser who moved over there).  I won't be able to get a haircut until October 5th.  Hope I can control the never ending grey hairs that seem to dominate.

 

Mone and I leave for Montreal on September 25th and will be back on September 30th.  He is quite excited and hopes to catch up with a few of the SA golfers who he played with on the tour many moons ago and hasn't seen for ages.  I'm looking forward to doing some shopping - hopefully we will get time to do that too!!!

 

Kyle goes back to school on September 5th.  He hasn't done too much this summer - been to movies a few times and down to the river valley with friends.  Spends his whole night chatting on line with friends and sleeps half the days away.  He works 2 days a week for Mone and thats about it.

 

We're getting the balance of our driveway done - we did half last year (concrete) and we're finishing the other half with ashphalt paving - thats how most people have their driveways here on the acreages and it doesn't look too bad.  To do the whole thing in concrete - well we could almost build a new house (not really!!).

Well its been a busy month.  I am staying on part time at Capital Health, with a job change.  Anyway I work half time with Capital Health (just been increased to 0.6 arghh!!!!) and the rest of the time for Mone.  Its a little hectic right now as I still have to do my old job (with the help of the other girls in the office when I am not around) until they hire someone.   Mone really needs the help and right now its a battle keeping up with both jobs.  Hopefully it will all settle down soon. 

 

I have been really spoilt, Mone bought me a brand new Mercedes 350 SLK - its really nice but I am kind of scared to drive it.  I will take some photos of it and post them here soon.  Its silver with black leather inside.

 

Its Kyle's birthday today - Sweet Sixteen!!  Sure growing up fast now - makes me feel really old.   Mone celebrates his 50th on Sunday next week, his party is on Saturday.  We were originally going to have a big party but its been scaled back - thank goodness. 

 

The weather sucks - its raining again ... will have to go away somewhere warmer.......  I haven't even booked any time off for the summer - think I may take the last couple of weeks in August.

 

Anyway not much else is news,
